To create Poster #6, I raided a large stack of vintage science books that once belonged in my classroom.
As passers-by take tabs, they’ll combine bits and pieces of various images in new ways, juxtaposing the many colors and patterns of the original images. I carefully cut out pages from the books so that there are photos on both sides. I also played with odd and awkward cropping to put familiar animals in new contexts. I’m glad to have given these books a second life as an art project, rather than simply recycling them.
